Interns receive 5 attempts at the PPR review via their intern portal, in Canvas.  


Should the intern not pass each section with an 80% or higher on each section of the review they will have to retake the review in order to get an 80% or higher on each section.  Interns can retake up to 5 times.  


Occasionally, interns will exhaust all 5 attempts and still need additional attempts to complete each section of the review with an 80% or higher.  


Please follow these guidelines regarding additional attempts at the PPR review.  


  1. Advisor should first relay to the intern that the PPR review is designed to simulate the real PPR exam and that we only provide 5 attempts.  
  2. Should an additional 6th attempt be needed, the advisor will need to provide the intern with the following link 
    1.  https://teachersoftomorrow.instructure.com/enroll/MTF6RA
    2.  This will allow 1 additional attempt only. 
  3. Should the intern fail their 6th attempt, they will need to complete an outside PPR review with proof of passing a practice test with an 85% or higher.  They may complete an outside review with any TEA approved provider.   
  4. Intern should email teach@texasteachers.org with proof of their outside PPR review.  The advisor will then send that to txprogramfulfillment@teachersoftomorrow.org.  Upon successful completion of an outside prep, Samantha Logan will mark the PPR review course as complete and grant the 1st attempt test approval for the intern.
