For Interns to receive approval for your next attempt of the PPR exam, Texas Teachers of Tomorrow requires them to first complete a test prep course from one of the following: 

  1. Complete the test prep course for the TExES 160 PPR exam through The Learning Liaisons. 
    1. Access your 30-day free trial for The Learning Liaisons in your intern portal (Menu> Premium Test Prep) 
    2. Send your certificate of completion to teach@texasteachers.org 
  2. Complete a test prep course or practice exam with an 85% or higher from any TEA approved CPE provider (ex. Study.com or 240 Tutoring) 
    1. Study.com PPR exam Prep 
    2. 240 Tutoring PPR exam Prep 
    3. Send your certificate of completion or proof of successful completion of a practice exam with an 85% or higher to teach@texasteachers.org 

While there are no guarantees, we believe these requirements will help prepare our candidates to be successful for their next exam attempt.

Please note: Interns may not use the same test prep twice for multiple approvals of the exam.  For example: If they used The Learning Liaisons for approval of your 2nd attempt they will need to choose a different resource for their 3rd attempt.  

Next Steps:

Once they have completed the requirements for an additional attempt at the PPR exam, send an email to teach@texasteachers.org with the following: 

  1. Subject: PPR Test Re-Approval Request 
  2. Attach proof of your certificate of completion or proof of completion from your selected provider. 
  3. Please request re-approval of your exam through your intern portal under Menu>Test Approvals/Scores.   

Once received, a program advisor will review your proof of completion documents and approve your test request.  Test Approval can take 3-5 business days.
