Transfer Form (TF) – When to Complete

  • In TEA click Educator Information -> Educator Search and paste in the applicant’s SSN

  • If this error comes up, the applicant does not have a TEA account and therefore a transfer form is not needed.

Note: If an Applicant is transferring from a program out of state, a transfer form is NOT required.  Only those applicants transferring from another EPP within Texas are required to submit a transfer form.

  • Once on the applicants TEA account you will need to check the three sections below:

  • Request Status – If an intern has a certificate application with another program we will need to ask the intern if they were enrolled in that program. If they confirm that they were in the program, we will need a TF. If they confirm that they were not in that program, we will not need a TF.

If fingerprinting is showing, this is not something we would need a TF for as well.  See Request Status in TEA

  • Examinations – If an intern has test approvals or test attempts through another certification program or university, we will need a TF. See Examinations in TEA

  • Certifications – The kind of certificate an applicant has been on will decide what is needed.  See Certifications in TEA
