Program Advisor Process for Dropped/Deactivated Candidates:

  • Once a candidate has been dropped due to inactivity the advisor should complete the following before transferring the intern to enrollment to re-enroll
    • Check the intern's TEA account for testing history.
      • If the candidate does not meet our Test History Limit, they will not qualify for enrollment
      • The advisor should review the TEA account and advise accordingly
        • "Mr. Intern, I have reviewed your testing history and see that you have more than 4 failed test attempts.  Unfortunately, at this time you would not qualify to re-enroll in our program."
    • If the candidate has good testing history, you may transfer the candidate to our TX Enrollment skill in five 9 for an enrollment advisor to walk the candidate through re-enrolling
    • Be sure to advise that if they re-enroll before 09/20/2024 we will waive their enrollment fee.

04/30/24 - Texas Teachers is reaching out to a new group of interns that have not been active within 2 years.  These candidates must complete a course or FBE on or before 05/30/24 to remain active in the program.  Any candidate who is dropped from the program due to inactivity and chooses to re-enroll will have enrollment fees waived until 09/20/2024.

01/15/2024

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow will be dropping interns whose last activity is on or before 09/01/2020.  Last activity includes: completing a course, submitting an FBE, or attempting a test (pass or fail).

Please note: Of the inactive population, only some were notified of being dropped.  Those who were notified have been dropped from the program with a reason of "inactive" on their account.  The rest of the population who fell into this category will be notified starting 02/20/2024 and will have an additional 30 days to log into their accounts to complete an activity to maintain enrollment.

  • Marketing will send a notification on 1/15/2024 to all impacted interns. (See attached email)
    • New email sent to those not originally notified on 02/20/2024 to the remaining impacted interns

  • Interns will have from 1/15/2024 until 02/15/2024 to log in and complete a course, field-based experience, or test prep course to avoid being dropped from the program if they want to continue with the program.
    • Remaining interns will have until 03/20/2024 to log in and complete a course, field-based experience or test prep course to avoid being dropped from the program if they want to continue with the program.

  • If the intern receives the email from marketing alerting them to the program drop and they take no action, we will move their accounts to "Dropped" status with the reason being "Inactive" on 02/15/2024.  (Or 03/20 for the remaining group)

  • If the intern is dropped and wants to rejoin Texas Teachers of Tomorrow after 02/15/2024 but BEFORE 08/15/2024, they will be required to re-apply with a different email address and go through our enrollment process again to qualify for the program. As a courtesy, we will waive the enrollment fee for these candidates.  They will be required to start over with their program requirements.  No previous coursework or FBEs will transfer over to their new account.

  • If the intern is dropped and wants to rejoin Texas Teachers of Tomorrow AFTER 08/15/2024 they will be required to pay the enrollment fee again and start over with their program requirements.  No previous coursework or FBEs will transfer over to their new account.

  • The first high-priority note in the account will read as follows: Intern has no activity since 09/01/2020. To remain enrolled in the program, they must complete a course or FBE and continue active progress toward certification.  If no activity by 02/15/2024, the intern will be dropped.  Please refer to the KB for more details.

  • A second high-priority note is being added after the drops have occured on 02/15/2024: Intern dropped due to inactivity - Last academic-related activity is on or before 09/01/2020.  Intern must submit a new application with a different email address and re-enroll submitting updated transcripts and documents.  If enrolled by 03/15/2024, the enrollment fee will be waived.  No previously completed activity will be transferred to the new account.
  • If you connect with an intern regarding the deactivation of their account, you may follow up with an email.  Use the email template in five9 titled TX - Dropping Inactive Population
  • There are approximately 200 interns who received the email in error as they have been active recently.  Marketing will be sending out a communication to advise them that they received the communication in error.  A note has been applied to those who received it in error.
    • Prince Note: UPDATE: Intern received inactive communication in error.  Intern is not at risk to be deactivated as they have been active.  Advise intern to continue making progress towards requirements and review what's next checklist.
