Interns can follow the directions below to install and launch lockdown browser application to complete test reviews.
To download and launch lockdown browser follow the directions below
- Click on the “Lockdown browser download” link that will take them to the webpage below
- Click on the “Install” button and once the file is download continue to go through the installation process.
- Search for the Lockdown Browser application in the windows start menu and launch the application. *The screenshot below is searching for Lockdown Browser on a Windows computer. If you are using Mac OS use the Launchpad to open the Lockdown Browser application. If using Chromebook use the launcher to search and launch Lockdown Browser”
- Once Lockdown Browser has launched they will have to log back into the intern portal and navigate to Canvas. At this point LockDown Browser will prevent them from accessing other websites or applications; they will be unable to exit the test until all questions are completed and submitted. The system should not prompt them to reinstall Lockdown Browser after logging into the Portal.
- Once they are finished with the test make sure to completely exit out of Lockdown Browser to regain control of your computer.
