There is a new Pre-Payment feature in the portal where interns can pre-pay on their program fees at any time!

If the intern's contract has already been created and they are in "Hired" status, it can take up to 7 business days for this payment to be applied to their account balance.

If the intern's contract has NOT been created and they are in "Paid" status, the payment will NOT reflect on their balance or under their paid invoices until the contract has been created upon hire.

  • Please note: If the intern pre-pays before their contract is created, the credit in the amount they paid will be applied to their invoices as they get created until the prepayment is all used up. Then the intern will start to pay their monthly invoices.
    • For Example: John Smith's program fees are $425 over 12 months.  He pays $1,000 toward his program fees when his is in "Paid" status.   That credit will be applied to his invoices in August and September for $425 each.  Then his 3rd invoice in October would be for $275.  Then his remaining invoices would be for $425 each.

Please note: Advisors will not need to request invoices to be created for future or lump sum payments any longer.  Instead, advisors can direct candidates to pre-pay via their intern portal.

Talking Points:

"You can Pre-Pay on your program fees at any time!"

"This is a great way to start chipping away at your program fee balance so that you have fewer payments to make during your intern year of teaching."

"We know the holiday months in the winter have proven to be tight financially for some of our candidates, so you can get ahead of those payments by pre-paying now!"

"Get your tax return in?  You can use it to pre-pay on your remaining program fee balance at any time in your intern portal!"
