A letter of good standing will be provided upon request and show the intern's district or principal that they have completed all program requirements with the exception of time taught to be eliglbe for their standard certificate.  


This letter is often requested for the intern to maintain employment or renew their contract for the following year while they finish their time taught requirement.  


To Qualify: 

  1. The advisor should confirm all program requirements have been checked off the intern's what's next checklist.  If any requirements remain, the intern will need to complete these prior to us providing a letter of good standing.  
    1. Time taught is the exception. 
  2. The intern must be either paid in full or have one pending payment.  If the intern is past due on any payments, they will need to pay their open invoices via the intern portal prior to us providing a letter of good standing. 


If the intern meets requirements, please do the following: 

  1. Advisor should email Lead@texasteachers.org with the letter of good standing request.  
    1. Subject: Letter of Good Standing Request for TX000000 [Intern ID] 
    2. In the body of the email please provide the intern ID along with the request for the Letter of good standing 
  2. Please advise the intern it will take 3-5 business days for us to email them their letter of good standing.
