Starting 04.17.2024 any candidate who pays to enroll will sign a new version of the enrollment agreement.  This article outlines key changes and differences in the new version of the enrollment agreement that are NOT in the current (old) enrollment agreement before 04.17.24.

Phase I Changes:

  • Intern will have 1 year or 12 months to complete their phase I requirements and obtain their certificate
  • If the intern does not complete Phase I in their allotted 12 months they may obtain an extension of Phase I for an additional 12 months for a fee of $195 (Phase I Extension Fee)
    • The $195 phase I extension fee must be paid within 5 days of their 12 months expiring
  • If the intern does not obtain a phase I extension and/or does not complete phase I on a 12-month extension they will be discharged from the program.
    • Interns may re-enroll but must start over from the beginning.

Phase II Changes:

  • The intern may place their program on hold during phase II with approval from Teachers of Tomorrow
  • The intern must request the hold within 48 hours of leaving the classroom
  • If the intern does not complete Phase II within 3 years, the intern will be discharged from the program unless they apply for a 4th-year extension and pay a $350 administration fee (Phase II Extension Fee). The extension fee must be paid within 5 business days of their 3rd year ending.
    • If they don't complete the requirements within their 4th year, they will be discharged from the program.  They may re-enroll but will be required to start again including redoing all coursework.
    • 4th year is not guaranteed by ToT, rather must be approved/issued by the SC DOE
  • If the intern does not complete phase II within 3 years and does not go on an extension they will be discharged from the program.
  • The intern is still responsible for paying all program-related fees

Enrollment Fee:

  • $299 Paid in Full
  • $345 paid in three monthly payments of $115 per month

Program Fee:

  • $4,100
    • Three options to pay program fee
      1. Pay in full at the time of hire
      2. Pay in 10 monthly payments at the time of hire
      3. Lump sum payment at the time of  enrollment (when offered)

Program Fee is subject to change at any time.  Signing the enrollment agreement does NOT lock in rates.  If we raise our rates in a few months and they have not been hired to teach on a certificate yet, they are subject to the new rates.

If the intern leaves employment within 30 days of hire date, their program fee will be reduced by 50%
