It's important to confirm with interns if they want to pursue an additional endorsement area while candidates still have time on their ITC.

Why? This will prevent them from having to go back through our program to add an endorsement area.

Once a candidate is at the end of their 3rd year on their ITC advisors should follow the procedure below before we move forward with recommending their standard certificate.

  1. The advisor sends out an email template from five9 titled "MI - Additional Endorsement Areas" asking if the intern if they are interested in pursuing additional endorsement areas.
  2. The intern replies to the email with their choice
  3. The advisor collects the reply and attaches it to the documents tab in Prince.
  4. Next, the advisor should forward the email response from the intern to certification support
    • If the intern replies "Yes" indicating they want to pursue an additional endorsement area, the advisor should follow procedures and advise on the next steps to add an endorsement area.
    • If the intern replies "No" indicating they do NOT want to pursue an additional endorsement area, the advisor should congratulate the intern on pursuing their standard and advise that their ITC will expire once recommended for their standard and what to expect should the intern decide to pursue an additional endorsement area in the future.

When responding to Certification support for interns who do NOT want to pursue an additional endorsement area please include the following: "Candidate confirmed they did not want to add any additional endorsements and we can move forward with the standard recommendation with current endorsements on the account."
