If an intern has a passed MTTC exam that is older than 5 years (expired) a request can be made to the MDE for acceptance. 


All requests to accept expired exams must go through certification support first.  


Process: 


  • Certification support will send the request to our MDOE contact for acceptance using a specific form. 


  • Once the MDE accepts or denies the request, certification support will notify the advisor of the decision.  


  • From there, the candidate only has 24 hours to apply for an ITC and for us (Cert Support) to recommend it.  (If Accepted) 




Additional Information: 

When completing the request form for the designated expired exam, our certification support uses the following link to determine if the exam has been updated since the expiration of the exam.  If it has been updated/replaced with a new exam it is an automatic no.
