- Probationary Cert = (up to) 3 field supervisor observations
- If an intern is on a “Requirements Incomplete” extension, they must do their first observation. The remaining 2 observations will be contingent on how quickly the intern completes their requirements. A principal recommendation of extend requires the intern to complete all 3 observations.
- Ex) RI Extension: (Observation dates are 11/2, 2/28, and 5/31)
- 11/2 must be done no matter what.
- If intern is done with all requirements before 2/28, the 2/28 and 5/31 observations are not needed.
- If the intern is still completing requirements by 2/28, this observation will also need to be done.
- However, if complete before 5/31, the 5/31 observation is not needed.
- If still not complete by 5/31, the 3rd and final observation will need to be completed.
Please note, the above applies regardless of whether they were given a recommendation of Certify on their previous certificate. If an intern is on an active probationary certificate no matter the reason, they must still complete observations.
- Ex) Principal Extend: (Observation dates are 11/2, 2/28, and 5/31)
- All 3 observations are required.
