The changes affecting advisors this sprint include a new career stage question that will be added to the application for all states, if the intern has a past due balance and they selected either ACH or Credit Card they will be redirected to the payment page upon logging into their portal.

Career Stage Question – All States
A new question will be presented on our application for all states that asks, “Where are you in your career journey or path to teaching?”
Candidates will be given three choices to choose from:
- Recent or soon to graduate college
- Working in school or district
- Working in another profession, ready to pursue teaching
The candidate’s response to these question will reflect in the advisor portal of prince under the “Admission” tab.
If the intern selects, “Working in school or district.” That will open a new question up for the candidate about their career role. “What is your current role?
Candidates can choose from the following:
- Administrative Aide
- Classroom Aide
- Substitute
- Long Term Substitute
- Full-time Teacher of Record
These questions will help us get to know our candidates better and help guide them toward their goals based on their current status.
Payment Page Redirect
If an intern has a past due balance and they selected either credit card or ACH withdrawal payment methods they will be redirected to their “My Payments” page upon logging into their portal. A new message has been added to the top of the page alerting them to their past due balance and advising on potential delays.
Additional messaging has been added to the bottom of the My Payments screen for all interns advising the following:
- If a payment fails due to insufficient funds or inaccurate banking information, the remaining balance due will be adjusted to include the failed payment.
- For Individuals who are on a Requirements Incomplete Extension, the balance due includes the full 12-month contract amount. If you complete your extension requirements early, the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
