Outbound calls will be auto-dialed from Five9 to interns who have just completed their 30 hour field-based experience requirement. The purpose of these calls is to congratulate them on completing their field-based experience and go over their remaining phase I requirements to earn their SOE.  


These Calls will appear in Five9 as "FBE Complete" and should give you a 2-minute warning before the call is made.  


Below are some talking points you can use to help guide your conversations.  


Prior to the call:  The advisor should check the intern's progress thus far. Have they completed their online training, passed their test prep or even their exam?  Adjust your talking points according to their progress.  


Talking Points: 

Hello Intern, my name is XXXXX and I am a program advisor with Texas Teachers.  I am calling to congratulate you on completing your field-based experience requirement! How did you like observing in a classroom?  What grades or subjects did you observe? 


You have made great progress so far and I'd like to go over your next steps.  Is now a good time? 



 

Required Online Training: 

"Your next pre-service requirement is your classroom readiness training.  Our training will provide you with the teaching terminology and pedagogy best practices that will help you in passing your exam. It will also prepare you for the classroom and how to teach. Setting you up for a successful first year of teaching."

  • Review grading times for projects

Testing: 

Once you have completed your online training, you want to complete your test prep to gain approval to register for your exam.   I see you are currently Eligible for XXXXXXX exam(s).  Is that the area you want to certify in?

If Yes: “Great! What made you choose XXXXXX as your certification area?”

  • Review test prep in portal- must pass before approval
  • 30-day free trial to TLL
  • Send test registration email as follow up to call

If No: “No worries, you can gain approval for the exam for XXXXXX certification area.”  

  • Review test prep requirement and location in portal
  • Review requesting an exam through their portal
  • Send test registration email as follow-up to call

If Late Hire: 

“Once you pass your exam(s) you will gain access to your SOE and be eligible for hire!” 

  • Review 90 school day requirement to complete FBE and Training
  • Send late hire email template next steps as follow-up
