MI – Updates to the verbiage on the LOE

With the removal of the CPR/First aid requirement and the classroom readiness training from phase I, we have also updated the verbiage on the LOE to simply reflect the following: “Congratulations! You have successfully completed all requirements needed to begin teaching for your internship year.”

TX – Tests to reflect Eligible Status upon adding in Advisor Portal

When adding an exam that requires test prep under the Tests tab in the advisor portal it will automatically default to “Eligible” when adding it.

The approved status will be grayed out and unable to be selected.  Additionally a message will reflect when trying to select approved that states, “Required Test Prep is not completed and Test should be in Eligible Status.”

If the exam does not require test prep, it will default to “Approved” Status.

TX – Ability for intern to remove exams from Eligible status through intern portal

If the intern does not want to take that exam, they will now have the option to “Remove” it by clicking on the blue button to the right of the listed eligible exam.

Once the intern has clicked “Remove,” it will then reflect under the tests tab in the advisor portal as “Removed.”

TX – Auto approval of eligible exams once test prep has been completed

Once the intern has completed test prep for their “Eligible” exams, their test will be auto approved.

When completing a test prep course in canvas the intern should receive either a course complete page like the one below, or an 85% or higher on the practice test completed through a lockdown browser.  After getting to the final page of the course and there is no longer a “next.” Button in canvas the course should auto update to Prince.

Once the advisor portal is auto updated with their completion date of the test prep from Canvas, the Eligible exam will move to approved status in both the intern and advisor portals.

Additionally, the advisor can manually update the completion date for the test prep after confirming it is completed with an 85% or higher in canvas.  To do so they will select the “Set Date” button to the right of the course.   Insert course completion date and hit okay.
