We started admitting candidates to the Lower Elementary PK-3 and Upper Elementary 3-6 certification areas June 1, 2023, and ceased admissions in Elementary Education 103 (K-5) on May 31, 2023. (See Michigan Endorsment Areas/Grade Bands)
Michigan Teachers of Tomorrow has received preliminary approval to offer the certification areas of Upper Elementary 3-6 and Lower Elementary PK-3. The preliminary approval allows us the capability to admit/enroll candidates into these certification areas. However, candidates cannot yet apply for an ITC in these areas.
Candidates may begin working on program requirements immediately as we finalize the approval with the Michigan Department of Education.
Upon approval from the MDOE we will update the intern portal and advise candidates.
