The updates affecting advisors for this sprint release include changes to the TX intern portal regarding Field-based Experiences and changes to the North Carolina Form RL qualifications in the intern’s portal.

TX FBE Letter Update
The Field-based experience letter available to interns through their intern portal has been updated to include verbiage from Texas administrative code indicating the intern needs to have interactive field-based experiences that include participation and active engagement.
TX FBE Email Validation
When submitting the FBE form through the intern portal parameters have been put in place to support a full and complete email address be entered when submitting the form. If an incomplete email address is used it will highlight in red to draw attention to it.
TX FBE Online Form District and Campus Additions
Currently, interns are prompted to type in a “Location” when filling out the online FBE submission form. It is free form, and the interns can type any location in.
Now, instead of the online submission form stating “Location” and having free form submission, it will indicate specifically District and Campus. Interns will need select from a drop down list of districts and campuses to complete their form.
In the event their district and campus is not listed under the drop down list the intern can email addcampus@teachersoftomorrow.org to have their campus and district added.
If the intern previously saved a submission with just a location added. When they go back to edit it, they will be required to fill in both the District and Campus from the drop down menu.
NC – Form RL Document Update:
The bulleted points circled in red below have been removed from the new form RL
NC Form RL Availability Requirements:
Currently the intern can access their form RL after earning SMK and submitting an “I’ve got a job form.” Now, the intern must demonstrate SKM, get hired and submit their “I’ve got a job” form AND establish payment for their program fees. Once payment has been established, they will get access to their form RL in their portal under Menu>Employment documents.
A message will be displayed in their intern portal under the employment documents if they have not yet established payment.
