A transfer out form can be provided to any applicant or intern even if the applicant never enrolled in our program.

Should an intern that is enrolled in the program decide to transfer out of program or an applicant that needs a transfer form request one; it is best practice to consult with the intern/applicant and understand why they are considering leaving:

  1. Prior to emailing the intern, the advisor should call the intern and inquire about their decision to leave, ideally convincing the intern to remain in the program. (see Transfer Out Talking Points
    • Update account/notes with outcome of the call/email.
  2.  If the intern still decides to leave, the advisor should send the intern the "Transfer Out" template located in five9.
  3. Once we receive the return email stating why the intern wants to leave the advisor should forward it to the skill in five 9 titled TX Prgm Fulfillment.  (transferforms@texasteachers.org)
  4. Our TX Prgm Fulfillment team will prepare the transfer form and complete section A&B of the form.  TX Prgm Fulfillment will email the completed transfer form to the intern directly.
    • TX Prgm Fulfillment will update the transfer out spreadsheet and advise Lead the intern needs to be dropped from the program.
  5. Lead/Manager will then take necessary steps to remove exam approvals and drop the intern from our program and notify accounts receiveables.
  6. If the intern transfers out or withdrawals from our program and then wants to return, re-admission is not guaranteed.

Transferring Out/Dropping program and Enrollment Fees:

  1. Enrollment fee payments cannot be paused and the intern remain in the program.  The intern must be making active enrollment fee installment payments (3 months at $115/month) until paid in full to remain in the program.
  2. If the intern transfers out or wants to be removed from the program when they still have future enrollment fee payments remaining, those installment payments will be stopped upon the manager sending the request to AR to notify them that the intern has been dropped. (this is an action taken as part of the steps outlined above)
  3. If the intern has PAST DUE enrollment fee installments they missed or were failed payments, then those will still be due to Teachers of Tomorrow even after we drop the intern.  However, the intern will not have access to their intern portal and will need to contact accounts receiveables directly at ar@teachersoftomorrow.org to arrange payment.
  4. Once the intern is out of the program, they must reapply and start over and pay again if they want back in!
  5. No Refunds are provided for any enrollment fees as outlined in both the old intern agreement and new enrollment agreement.
