A Traditional Candidate is defined as one with a bachelor's degree with a 2.5 GPA or higher who has not been enrolled in another EPP prior to TOT. 


Requirements: 

  1. Free online application 
  2. Bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited university 
  3. 2.5 overall GPA or higher 
  4. Official transcripts 
    1. In order for electronic transcripts to remain official they must come from the University to Texas Teachers directly.  [email protected] 
  5. Admission Assessment complete with a score of either Accomplished, Acceptable, or Approaching 
  6. Admission Certification area 
  7. Basic Skill 
  8. Not in TEA 
  9. Oral communication met by degree earned in U.S.
