Field Supervisor Observations are required during Phase II of the program.
Intern Certificate Requirements:
- 5 observations are required
- Field Supervisors are required to reach out to their assigned interns within 3 weeks of the intern certificate being issued.
- Observations are scheduled and not random
- Field Supervisors provide additional support including phone calls, emails, and act as a liaison between the intern and principal
- Observation feedback is provided to both the intern and shared with the intern's principal and mentor
- Completed observations must be verified by the intern through the intern portal under Menu> Field Supervisor Observations
Probationary Certificate Requirements:
- 3 Observations are required while an intern teaches on a probationary extension
- Anytime an intern is on an active certificate they must be receiving observations
In Advisor Portal of Prince:
Field Supervisor Observations are located in Prince under the "Observations" tab
In Intern Portal of Prince
Located under Menu> Field Supervisor Observations
Interns must accept each observation through their intern portal as they occur
Our Classroom Support department supports all field supervisors. Should an intern have an issue or concern with their field supervisor it is best they speak directly with them. However, should they escalate the issue the advisor can reach out to classroom support directly to relay concerns. See Whom to Reach Out To
