Texas Teachers has thousands of candidates in our program who are non U.S. citizens or start the program internationally.  If an applicant graduated from a Non-U.S. College or University they must have their transcripts evaluated by a TEA approved evaluation service. 


Approved Evaluation Services


Course by Course Evaluations must include the Following Requirements: 

  • Courses and grades earned 
  • Conferred Date (Must show month and year degree was completed) 
  • GPA 
  • The U.S. Equivalency of the applicants degree



Please Note:  Most Evaluation Services do NOT provide the Month and Year of the degree date conferred.  This is very important to point out to interns in both phone calls and emails (Email Template: TX - CXC Evals Needed) that they must request this on their Course by Course Evaluation.  It is not unique to a specific provider.  They all do not provide the month and year unless requested.  


Should an intern provide us with a course by course evaluation that only has the year of the degree conferred, they must contact their evaluation service used and request and edit/update to their evaluation and have it resent.  This usually costs money and can range from $50 to over a hundred dollars.  


Evaluations must be official and to remain official they must come directly from the evaluation service to Texas Teachers and can be sent to transcripts@texasteachers.org.
