2009 Rule Set interns are required to complete 1 project during Phase II of the program. This Project must also be completed during the active school year and interns must utilize data from their classroom to complete the project.

Please Note: The deadline to submit TNT 700.7IP The Internship Project for the 22-23 school year is May 15th, 2023 at 11:59 pm.

  • An email notification will go out on Monday 04/24 to all TX Hireds who are on an active certificate that expires prior to 09/07/2023 notifying them about the May 15th deadline to have their project submitted.  It applies to both TNT 700.7IP and TNT 700.8IP (2009 and 2017 rules).  Interns must have their internship project submitted by May 15th.  If they don’t, they will need to go on an extension to complete it in the fall. As always, they should consult with their district if an active certificate is required to maintain employment. (it usually is)
    1. Keep in mind, interns with mid year starts who must teach into the 23-24 school year to meet time taught will be able to submit their project after August 1st, when it re-opens if they don’t meet the May 15th deadline.  So always check the intern’s certificate expiration date before advising!
  • The project will re-open on August 1st for anyone who missed the deadline.  Resubmissions for those who met the deadline will be accepted from 5/18-6/1.

1.) TNT 700.7IP - The Internship Project

  • The project will re-open on August 1 and permanently close on August 31.
  • As of September 1st, a new TNT 700.7IP Project will open in canvas.
  • If the intern submits their TNT 700.7IP Project between Aug 1st and Aug 31st, the data should either be from 2022-2023 school year or from 2023-2024 school year.
  • Anyone who has not successfully completed the current TNT 700.7IP project by August 31st will need to go to the new project. We will not extend the old project any longer. Data must then be from the 2023-2024 school year only if submitted September 1st and after.
