Ready to Recommend (R2R) for a Standard Certificate

Please use this form each time you assess an account to determine if the intern is R2R for their standard certicate

The Certification Support department will start recommending standard certificates as of May 20th, 2024 for the 23-24 school year. However, interns must work up until their last instructional day to qualify for their standard certificate.    Please review the Time Taught article to confirm intern meets time taught.

R2R Standard Checklist form:

Once an intern is R2R for their standard certificate, please advise on the appropriate processing time (See Processing Times Article).

Once an intern has been recommended for their standard certificate, they receive an email from TEA letting them know.

If an intern's intern certificate is already expired and you determine they are R2R for a standard certificate using the above form, you may send an expedite request to our Certification department.

  • In the subject line of the email you  MUST specify, "R2R Standard Cert - Intern ID - Expedite Request."
  • Only send an R2R standard cert expedite request to Certification IF the intern's certificate has expired AND they qualify for a standard.

Never Direct the intern to TEA for their Standard.  We recommend them and determine if they are eligible.

Do NOT send an email to Certification Support with "R2R" in the title if the intern is not ready to be recommended.  If the intern has remaining requirements then they are not R2R and that acronymn should be left out.  Sending R2R requests that are not accurate or questions about remaining requirements with R2R in the title of the email will slow our processing times down.
